Terms and Conditions

The rules for using this website, joining a ZA'EER guest list, coming to a ZA'EER night and applying to play.

1. About these terms

These terms are between you and ZA'EER Music Entertainment ("ZA'EER", "we", "us"), Doha, State of Qatar. By using zaeer.events, requesting a guest-list spot, attending a ZA'EER night or applying to play, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the website or our services.

ZA'EER nights take place at partner venues (currently Black Orchid at Mondrian Doha). The venue's own terms, house rules and policies also apply while you're there, and if they conflict with these terms, the venue's rules apply inside the venue.

2. The guest list

  1. A request isn't a ticket. Asking for a spot doesn't guarantee one. Your place is only confirmed when we email you to say you're on the list.
  2. Our decision. We decide who is approved for each night at our sole discretion, for example to manage capacity and the mix of the room. We don't have to give a reason for declining or not responding to a request, and a decision for one night doesn't affect any other night.
  3. Accurate details. Every name on a booking must be that person's real full name as it appears on their ID. The person who books is responsible for the whole group, and confirms that each guest has agreed to their details being shared with us.
  4. Personal and free. Guest-list places are free, personal to the people named and can't be sold, transferred or swapped. A booking that has been sold, shared publicly or made with false details may be cancelled without notice.
  5. Changes. You can change or cancel your booking with the link in your emails until the list closes. Adding people sends the booking back for review.
  6. Closing time. The list closes at the time shown on your confirmation. Arriving after it closes, or after the venue reaches capacity, means you may not be admitted.
  7. Withdrawal. We may cancel or withdraw a guest-list place at any time, including after it's been approved, if the night changes, capacity requires it, or we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

3. Entry and the door

  1. Right of admission reserved. Being on the list doesn't guarantee entry. ZA'EER, the venue and their security team may refuse entry to anyone, or ask anyone to leave, at their discretion, including for safety, capacity, dress code, intoxication or behaviour.
  2. Age and ID. Every guest must meet the minimum age for the night (currently 21) and show valid, original photo ID, such as a Qatar ID, passport or GCC national ID. Copies and photos of ID aren't accepted. Anyone who can't show valid ID will be refused entry, even if they are on the list.
  3. Dress code and house rules. Guests must follow the venue's dress code and house rules.
  4. Searches and prohibited items. You may be asked to agree to a bag search. Illegal substances, weapons, outside food and drink, and anything the venue prohibits aren't allowed.
  5. Laws of Qatar. Guests must follow the laws of the State of Qatar at all times, including those on alcohol, public decency and privacy. Alcohol is served only by the venue under its licence and only to guests who may legally be served.

4. Conduct

Treat other guests, artists and staff with respect. Harassment, violence, discrimination, damage to property, illegal activity or behaviour that puts anyone at risk will lead to removal without refund or compensation, and may lead to being refused entry to future ZA'EER nights and being reported to the authorities. Don't film or photograph other guests in a way that invades their privacy.

5. Photos and filming

ZA'EER nights are photographed and filmed by us and people working for us. By attending, you agree that you may appear in photos, video and audio recorded at the event, and that ZA'EER and the venue may use that material, without payment, in any media, including Instagram, this website and promotional material, for as long as they choose.

If you'd prefer not to be filmed, tell our photographer or crew on the night. If you appear in something we've posted and would like it taken down, email hello@zaeer.events and we'll remove it from our own channels where we reasonably can, or crop or blur you out.

The DJs' sets and the music played are protected by copyright. Recording whole sets for redistribution, or commercial filming, isn't allowed without our written permission.

6. Changes to nights

Lineups, set times, opening hours, the venue and dates can change, and nights can be postponed or cancelled, including for reasons outside our control such as artist illness, venue decisions, government instructions, public mourning or safety. We'll try to tell guests on the list by email as early as we reasonably can. We're not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur because of a change or cancellation.

7. Your safety and belongings

You attend at your own risk. Nightclub environments involve loud music, crowds, strobe and flashing lights, haze and low lighting. Please take care of yourself, drink responsibly and look after your belongings. Neither ZA'EER nor the venue is responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property, except where that's caused by our negligence and the law doesn't allow it to be excluded.

8. DJ applications

  1. No obligation. Applying doesn't mean we'll book you or reply. We decide who plays at our sole discretion.
  2. Your music. You confirm that you own or have the rights to everything in the mix you send us, and that sending it to us doesn't break anyone's rights.
  3. What we may do with it. You give us a free, non-exclusive permission to store, copy and listen to your mix, and to share it privately with our team and venue partners, only to consider you for bookings. We won't publish or broadcast your mix without your permission.
  4. No payment or confidentiality. Applying is free and doesn't create any payment obligation on either side. Any booking, fee or set terms will be agreed separately in writing. Ideas you send us aren't treated as confidential, and we're free to develop similar ideas independently.
  5. Accuracy. The information in your application must be true and yours.

9. This website

  1. The website, its design, text, logos, artwork, photos, video and audio belong to ZA'EER or the people who licensed them to us. You may view and share links to it for personal use, but you may not copy, download, reproduce or reuse its content, including M4ZE's sets, without our written permission.
  2. Don't misuse the website: no automated bookings, scraping, attempts to get around limits or security, or anything that interferes with how it works. We may block any booking or application we believe is automated, fake or abusive.
  3. We try to keep information accurate and the website available, but we can't guarantee it's always complete, current or free of errors or interruptions. Event details in your confirmation email and from the venue take priority over the website.
  4. Links to other websites, such as Instagram or SoundCloud, are for convenience. We're not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

10. Liability

  1. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded under the laws of Qatar.
  2. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows: guest-list places and the website are provided free of charge and "as is"; ZA'EER isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of enjoyment, opportunity, income or data; and ZA'EER isn't responsible for the acts or omissions of the venue, its staff, other guests or artists, or for events outside our reasonable control.
  3. You agree to compensate ZA'EER for any loss, claim or cost it suffers because you broke these terms, behaved unlawfully at a ZA'EER night, or sent us a mix that infringes someone else's rights.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. If there's a problem, please contact us first at hello@zaeer.events and we'll try to resolve it. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Qatar.

12. General

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page with its effective date applies to bookings made, nights attended and applications sent after that date. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms are written in English; if they're translated, the English version applies.
